Manhattan bicycle messenger Robin Thicke and serial red carpet offender Paula Patton have confirmed they’re separating after eight and a half years of Paula Patton turning a blind eye to Robin Thicke.
The couple met when Thicke was but a child of fourteen, some twenty-two years ago; Patton was sixteen going on thirty-eight. Together they have a son, Julian Fuego, who is four, and a frankly terrible music video which Patton signed off on, Blurred Lines, which is eleven months old.
“We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time,” the couple confirmed to People in a statement. Now, it appears, Patton no longer wants ‘it’.
The Thicke-Pattons made their last public appearance together at the Grammys, and only ten days ago Patton tweeted a photo of two dressing gowns with the caption, “I love my boys!!! XO”. It was a really, really great photo:
