See Robin Thicke in His Stalker-y, Amazingly Bad Acting Debut

Remember a few years back when everyone was recutting the trailers of well-known family films to make them look like horror flicks, like that clip of Mrs Doubtfire reframed as thriller about a crazed, homicidal stalker? This clip of Robin Thicke‘s movie acting debut is basically one of those already, minus the ominous music.

Earlier today, Vulture posted a video of the serial Canadian sex pest in his first movie role, and can we just way, hell no. The film is called Making The Rules, and stars Jaime Pressly as an “overworked sous chef”, and Thicke as the ex-boyfriend who dresses and acts exactly like Robin Thicke in real life and may or may not be plotting to murder her.
The look of sheer terror on Jaime Pressly’s face every time she turns around and sees Robin Thicke is really something. It’s like she dropped out of the movie early on, but he decided to make it anyway, and just kept sneaking up on her in random places like outdoor cafes and laundromats.
Over the course of the clip, Thicke whispers “seductively” at Pressly, does some kind of Neil Strauss The Game bullshit where he repeats her name over and over, makes veiled threats about possibly destroying her possessions, orders for her in a restaurant and leers at her creepily, saying “I know what I want”.
I know it’s just a movie, but fucking hell, Robin Thicke, please take it down several dozen notches and maybe exercise a tad of self-awareness in choosing roles if you plan to keep acting.
