Band Behind ‘I’m Too Sexy’ Have A Writing Credit On New Taylor Swift Single

Hello, did you forget that British band Right Said Fred and their classic 1992 single ‘I’m Too Sexy‘ existed? Do you even remember the last time you heard the song? Well, it turns out you heard it – or at least a snippet of it – a lot more recently than you thought you had if you’re a T-Swift fan/curious about the state of pop music today.

The credits for ‘Look What You Made Me Do‘, the first single from Swift’s forthcoming ‘Reputation‘, out 10 November, say that the song, otherwise a co-write between the singer and ‘1989‘ collaborator fun.’s Jack Antonoff, contains “an interpolation of a melody” from the ’90s banger – meaning it borrows and reworks part of the track, rather than sampling it directly.

The credit for Right Said Fred’s Fred Fairbrass, Richard Fairbrass and Rob Manzoli
also acknowledges similar vocal delivery on Swift’s chorus and on the repeated motif on ‘I’m Too Sexy‘.
