Barcelona’s Primavera Sound festival has unveiled the full lineup for 2014 and with Arcade Fire, Neutral Milk Hotel, Pixies, The National, St Vincent, Kendrick Lamar, Disclosure, Superchunk, Television, Haim, Nine Inch Nail and newly re-formed shoegaze luminaries Slowdive among the headliners, it’s not surprising that events like this one are inspiring a wave of music-seeking travellers to hop a plane.
Australian acts on the bill include Perth psych jammers Pond, Sydney’s Gang Of Youths, indie dance favourites Jagwar Ma, the legendary Mick Harvey performing his Serge Gainsbourg tribute, Cut Copy, and Melbourne’s guitar-wielding songwriting prodigy Courtney Barnett.
