A Spice Girls Reunion Spesh Is Reportedly Arriving Next Year, Posh Included

Here we go. Again.

The Spice Girls, all five of ’em, are reportedly working together for a television special and compilation album due out next year.

According to British tabloid The Sun – the outlet simultaneously most and least likely to accurately report on Spice Girls news – a rehired aide to the 90s icons says former Sporty Spice Melanie Chisholm has succeeded in getting the gang together.

That includes one-time Posh Spice Victoria Beckham, whose career has taken her almost as far as humanly possible away from the confected 1990s pop act scene.

Beckham has long been rumoured as one of the last hold-outs to a reunion, but the aide claims the birth of ex-Ginger Spice Geri Halliwell’s son, and the fallout of Melanie Brown’s divorce, have acted as reuniting factors.

This potential revival comes after a slew of failed reunion attempts. Earlier this month, Halliwell told Red magazine “I really pushed to get everyone back together. It got to the point where I just had to let it go. I still love the girls, and there are other bits and bobs in the pipeline.”

In the meantime, just roll through this very short collection of social media postings demonstrating the crew’s obvious affection for one another, and imagine what could be.
