Consider this the fine art of speculation.
Today we got word of the New Zealand summer music festival, Rhythm and Vines, and their lineup for the three day bash beginning on December 29th and closing on New Year’s Day. The lineup’s looking pretty tasty for the kiwis across the way, with a lot of already announced Falls Festival acts making the jump, including Franz Ferdinand, Mystery Jets, A-Trak and Digitalism as well as Cut Off Your Hands, Ruby Suns and Ajax. But what’s super exciting is that Daft Punk’s old flame and Ed Banger chief, Busy P will be in attendance with his right-hand man DJ Mehdi.
So surely, being so close to Australian shores, Pedro and Mehdi would have to come over for a visit. And who knows, maybe they’ll do a New Year’s Eve show. This also adds weight to the rumour that a certain Cross-fixated duo would be in the country for New Year’s too…
