New Outkast Clip + Andre 3000 Unveils His Fashion Line…

The new clip for Outkast’s “Da Art of Storytellin” schools the listener in just that.

Once again Andre 3000 is next level, his ability to combine intellect AND emotional resonance makes his flow one of the best in the business. Preferring to explore romanticism as opposed to more misogynistic territory, Andre’s subject matter is refreshingly bereft of gun-toting bravado.

In regards to his solo work he told Rolling Stone that: ‘It should be dropping by the end of this year or early next year. I’ve pretty much been working with myself. I’ve never really been that big on collaboration…I have a concept, and all the soundscapes are already in my head, so I just have to figure out how to get there.’

Hopefully there’ll be no autotune.

In more Andre news, the musician/designer launched his new fashion line “Benjamin Bixby” at London Fashion Week. Stocked exclusively at Harrods, the party was thrown by Mohamed Al Fayed and played host to celebrities such as Estelle, Alexa Chung, Ozwald Boateng and Jimmy Choo.

The man himself said the line celebrated a “passion for craftsmanship and individuality (that would) appeal to someone with an eclectic point of view and a sense of adventure.’

The clothes themselves are appropriately twee, as Andre’s personal style would dictate. The range, which includes tweed pants, oxford shirts and collegiate references proves to be as quirky as his music and just as cool.

When I think of “Benjamin Bixby” I’m reminded of the bourgeoisie grandeur of “The Great Gatsby” and judging from this collection the two share more than just phonetic similarities.
