Mayer Hawthorne is that soulful white kid from Detroit who makes the ladies lose their minds, and he’ll be coming back to Australia next month, presented by yours truly.
Having charmed the pants off us ever since his debut dropped a few years back, Hawthorne (who was signed to Stone’s Thorw in the U.S., the same label as Sydney’s Jonti) returns with his cracker live band to spread the baby-makin’ tunes all round off the back of his totally great new piece of CD-like plastic, How Do You Do?. Joining him Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane will be killer Aus outfit Electric Empire and Sydney songstress Fantine.
