Playground Weekender is shaping up to be one of the festivals of the summer – and I’m not just saying that because we’re obligated to since Pedestrian is co-presenting. After dropping the first lineup last month we were pretty stoked with the very exciting diverse acts named – including Toro Y Moi, Caribou, Doves and De La Soul among others; Now Playground festival organisers have revealed the second list of acts on the bill and it’s got just as much to offer with a range of international headliners (trip hop legends Lamb and Tricky, blue-eyed soul revivalist Mayer Hawthorne & County, Canadian psych-rock quintet Black Mountain) and some fantastic local artists including You Am I.
More than just a music festival, Playground Weekender features Australia’s largest fancy dress party, beer & cider gardens, morning yoga, the infamous Club Tropicana pool party and an open-air cinema all nestled on the banks of the sparkling Hawkesbury River. It happens on Thursday 17th February – Sunday 20th February and the entire Pedestrian gang is heading along and we’re pretty psyched. Tickets are now available.
