If there’s one thing you can count on, other than the fact that a guy randomly holding a guitar at a party will play Wonderwall at some point, is that if you wait long enough, former Oasis member Liam Gallagher will do or say something entertaining.
In the latest incident, Gallagher has happened to come out with maybe the funniest thing you will hear a muso say all year. In an interview published in the latest edition of GQ, he was asked what his kids are listening to at the moment. After explaining that his kids love grime music like Stormzy and Skepta, he followed it up with this.
“They also like that bloke, WhatsApp Ricky. You know, the American geezer, stylish, funny, gold teeth…”
Delightful, isn’t it? To be fair, the mistake can probably be attributed to the fact that Gallagher is a dad, and getting a name so spectacularly wrong is an absolute 100% classic dad move. Have a gander at the whole answer.
