What does a good birthday look like to you? Couple of friends, a nice bottle of wine? Maybe a fancy dinner or a night on the town, or a mini-break to the Whitsundays if you’re really, really lucky?
Well I’m sorry to say that you’re wrong. All of those birthday treats suck. The only correct method of marking your special day is to have thousands of people sing ‘Happy Birthday‘ to you at the behest of Jay Z. Also you must be Beyoncé.
Yep, the King & Queen of the World have gone and done it again, raising the bar on yet another aspect of life that we thought was safe from their far-reaching influence.
Jay Z was performing at the Budweiser Made In America Festival this weekend, and as a little birthday surprise for Queen B, got the entire crowd at his set to serenade her (Beyoncé’s b-day is September 4, i.e. today – give thanks and praise).

Did the people approve? Did they ever.

Cancel your birthday plans. If it’s not an entire festival crowd singing you into a new year of life, what’s the god damn point.
