Jamie Foxx – “Blame It” Feat Ron Howard

Is employing a prehistoric Richie Cunningham as your wingman the worst idea in the history of picking up? Or is it actually the best idea ever…

Cameos are a hip-hop video convention up there with booty babes and popping Crystall and one that I love dearly. In Jamie Foxx’s new clip for “Blame It” however the cameos aren’t made by other rappers or hangers on, but an unlikely cast of Hollywood A-Listers that if the scenario were real, would disrupt the very nature of time and space and cause the world to implode. Let me set the scene.

Jake Gyllenhaal drives up in a Rolls Royce with Forest Whitaker riding shotgun (that’s not even the most ridiculous part) and the camera pan backs to reveal…Jamie Foxx and Ron Howard chilling in the backseat. Wait what? Ron Howard? Shouldn’t he be in his mansion counting Academy Awards? It reminds me of a really bad SNL skit. I’m actually waiting for everyone to break character and go “nah just joking” and high five but that never happens.

PS. This is pretty much the worst song ever. Jamie Foxx sings about pumping girls full of alcohol for the purpose of pumping them full of “The Foxx” later on. Blame it on the alcohol? Nah, blame it on Jamie Foxx.
