Hey You, We’ve Overhauled Our Comments Section

Hey guys, you may have noticed that we overhauled our comments section because “about time” and also it’s not 2006 anymore. Oh man, now we’re internetting! The new system uses Facebook Connect so you can now submit comments via your Facebook account. No more staring at indecipherable CAPTCHAs (is that mooks villainy or moods military?). No more filling out your email and user name over and over again (we just saved 1000 hours of your life “Wawa” and “Harlequin”). Also, most importantly, no more spam! See ya never Nike warehouse sale. So long bedazzled Ed Hardy t-shirt purveyor. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out NFL jerseys – we don’t even understand how your fucking sport works! If we weren’t so genial we might say FUCK OFF COACH BAGS! EAT A DICK VIAGRA! HOPE YOU DIE IN THE MOST HORRIFIC WAY IMAGINABLE, REPLICA WATCHES. We won’t though because that would be mean and replicating watches is a legitimate business model. Ahh, we feel better already.

Cool. So there’s that. The second commenting upgrade is one we’re pretty excited about – a registered users section for people who didn’t want to go the Facebook Connect route. Perhaps you want to run for office one day and you feel like those incendiary comments you wrote about Angus and Julia Stone’s new album will hurt your chances. I don’t know, whatever. If you don’t want comments attributed to your actual name and your actual flatteringly photographed face, you can hide under a veil of anonymity by signing up as a registered user. The benefits are twofold. First, you’ll be able to call dibs on a username and avatar, preventing your namesake from taking credit for your hilarious yet well-informed comments. And conversely you’ll no longer be associated with theirs – which may range from semi-racist, incoherent or poorly thought out. #bi-winning #sorry

You can register here now.

We hope these changes go some way to improving your “user experience”. If not, let us know how we could improve the system even more at feedback@pedestriangroup.com.au. Thanks errbody. As you were. Good talk. See you later.
