Guns N’ Roses Are Touring Oz In 2021 And I Can Hear Dad Rolling His Sleeves For The Vaccine

It’s November, 2021. Viral anti-bodies course through your veins, courtesy of all those new COVID-19 vaccines. You imagine life twelve months ago, remembering how the nation held its breath during the pandemic, and the drastic measures South Australia undertook to combat its own coronavirus outbreak. But that’s all behind you. Now, you want to experience something original, something communal and bold, a spectacle that was impossible to imagine even before the panic set in.

That’s fucking right. You want to go see Guns N’ Roses in a stadium.

The pioneering hair metal legends today announced plans to tour Australia and New Zealand in late 2021, promising to deliver Axl Rose, Slash, and all of those guitar lines which you had memorised before you were even born.

Guns N’ Roses have billed the dates as “the first stadium tour since the advent of COVID-19 and border closures pressed pause on touring”, and it certainly seems the band is in with a shout on that claim.

While cancelled events like Splendour In The Grass have announced their tentative return in the middle of next year, and big-time acts like Harry Styles hope to reschedule their cancelled 2020 dates, Guns N’ Roses really could be the first new stadium tour announced since the virus really settled in.

Anyway, Guns N’ Roses will hit up the Gold Coast, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Perth, with a quick detour to Dunedin and Wellington snuck in there for good measure.

Tickets go on sale November 26. If you want to head down to the paradise city, where the grass is green and the girls are socially distanced, check out the details here.
