GET DAD ON THE BLOWER: Guns N Roses Are Doing Stadium Shows Next February

Never underestimate the fact that music PR is a tough gig even at the best of times; dealing with crotchety artists, even crotchetier media outlets (g’day!) and trying to coordinate announcements with multiple agencies so everything goes off in one huge bang? Yeah, that’s a nightmare field of hell to have to navigate.

So spare a thought to whoever’s job it was to organise the apparently imminent announcement of a Guns N Roses Australian stadium tour, which is set to hit our shores next February.

The tour announcement was apparently all set to go through Triple M this morning, but for unknown reasons was pushed back.

Only problem is the call to push it by 24 hours apparently didn’t get to whoever is in charge of the giant video billboard that sits atop the Young & Jackson hotel in the Melbourne CBD, opposite Flinders Street Station.

WELP. Cat’s outta the bag, I guess. Bloody GUNNERS are comin’ out here!

The OG lineup of the band which is currently on one hell of a reunion tour will apparently be playing at least in Melbourne at the MCG on February 14th next year. Valentine’s Day. It’s perfect.

No word yet on ticket availability or other dates for the tour (you’d assume that’ll all come tomorrow when the “official” announcement hits).

But one thing’s for sure, there’s your Christmas pressie for Dad sorted.
