The Monstrous Download Festival 2019 Lineup Has Arrived So Horns Up, Fuckers

Satan has heard your prayers, folks: the 2019 Download Festival lineup is here, and it is monstrous.

Ozzy Osbourne himself is set to headline the event, bringing decades of darkness with him to stages in Sydney and Melbourne. He’ll be joined by iconic thrash lords Slayer, who are bringing their immense touring career to a close, and legendary British lords Judas Priest.

Ghost, those Scandinavian torchbearers of gloomy heavy metal, will also bring their occult goodness Down Under. For those who prefer their tunes chaotic and delivered to a roiling sea of moshdogs, Converge are set to drop mathcore bombs from their peerless catalogue.

Local legends including The Amity Affliction, High Tension, and Luca Brasi are joining the bill, alongside Kiwi teens Alien Weaponry, aka New Zealand‘s ferocious answer to Gojira.

That’s not even all of them, and more acts are expected to be announced in the weeks to come.
