Childish Gambino And His Angelic Pipes Nailed ‘Like A Version’ This Morning

Emmy award winner, international funny man, Magic Mike actor/stripper, acclaimed rapper and all-round stupidly talented human Donald Glover / Childish Gambino is touring our country right now, delighting our aural (and visual ) senses as a guest of the 2015 Listen Out festival. 

This morning (or could have been a couple of days ago, as we heard it was pre-recorded), he stopped by the Triple J studios to further serenade our ears with a stellar rendition of Tamia‘s 1998 R’n’B hit ‘I’m So Into You’ for ‘Like A Version’.

Gambino played his final Aussie sideshow in Newcastle last night: he was also due to perform tonight at Academy Club in Canberra, but cancelled the show yesterday, stating that his “busy touring schedule is taking a toll”. (Alison Wonderland was named as the replacement act.) 

But, the rapper still has two Listen Out festival sets to go: in Sydney’s Centennial Park (Sat 3rd Oct) and QLD’s Brisbane Showgrounds (Sun 4th Oct).
