If these screenshots are to be believed – and tbh, we don’t see why they shouldn’t be – then Calvin Harris is getting very candid about his split with Taylor Swift.
As far as the public goes, this break-up has mostly played out via extremely subtle changes in social media: Calvin unfollowing Taylor after the pics of her and Tom Hiddleston surfaced, Calvin re-following her, Calvin tweeting “it’s about to go down” then deleting it seconds later, etc. Music’s #2 power couple (#1 is obviously Beyoncé & Jay Z) split, and the world needs to know everything.
We’re not 100% how it started, but Calvin began replying to people on his Instagram about the relationship.
“She controlled the media and this situation, I had no idea what was going on,” Calvin replied. “So that kind of makes it a lot worse from my perspective.”
He also confirmed to Nima that “I didn’t leave anyone and she’s def not sad. It’s all good.”
Instagram user @behi._.b then asked why he unfollowed and then re-followed Taylor.
“I cared too much and then I didn’t care,” he said. “I am a real person remember.”
And THEN, Instagram user @butikeepswifting hypothesised that Taylor broke up with him to be with someone else (hint hint: she is ~loki~ not wrong).
“It wasn’t rude of him to say that,” she wrote. “For all we know Taylor broke up with him to be with another man and that is quite upsetting. I would be hurt by that too. He’s not being mean. He deserves to feel free while he’s single and not feel jealous.”
Calvin then jumped in:
“You’re the only smart one at this point.”
NOW, on the flip-side, ‘a source close to Calvin’ is denying he wrote these comments. Did someone grab his phone??
