This year has been pretty rough on everyone, celebrity couples included, and it has now claimed Bella Hadid and The Weeknd, with reports that the model and musician have called off their 18-month romance.
Per a helpful, anonymous source who spoke to E! News, the two fell victim to that most Hollywood of relationship issues: scheduling conflicts.
The source said that the two are “both still very much in love with each other, [but] they know they needed to officially break things off” so they can “do them for a while.”
Hadid recently celebrated her 20th birthday party, and per the same source: “Things seemed perfect to all their close friends, but they both were dealing with many weeks of conflicting schedules that led to not seeing each other for a while.”
Bella has booked the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, which is happening in Paris on December 5, and The Weeknd is set to perform there, so that’s going to be somewhat awkward for all concerned.
The source also said:
“Bella was so excited that she’s walking in the Victoria’s Secret Show this year, and she knows it may be a bit strange having her ex perform. She will be OK, because she’ll have all her best friends there.”
The Weeknd, meanwhile, will be launching his second album, Starboy, on November 25.
