Clear Yr Entire February, Ariana Grande Just Hinted Her Album Is Coming V Soon

Sweet baby angel Ariana Grande has done a very short and sweet Q&A about her ‘.tour and upcoming album’ on her Twitter, which ended up with her mostly answering questions about her fifth album, Thank U, Next than the tour.

Ari was dropping hints all over the place like nobody’s business, so let’s wrap up what we’ve learned from this impromptu quiz, shall we?

We know it’s going to be called Thank U, Next, after the single of the same name – which alongside her second single ‘7 Rings‘, smashed all sorts of streaming and YouTube records when it was released. We know it’s her fifth record, coming in red hot after 2018’s Sweetener, which means that Ari’s been damn BUSY to write, record, and release two albums within six months of each other.

Speaking of release, one of the biggest hints that Ariana dropped was that Thank U, Next will likely be in our sweaty little mitts before Valentine’s Day. Winking at February 8 as the date that the album will hit stores, streaming platforms, and everywhere else us mere mortals listen to music, Ariana has pretty much turned around and claimed the most loved-up month as her own.

Good lord, I hope you don’t have plans on Feb 14, because you’re probably going to be shacked up with this new album and a renewed sense of independence.

Ok now we’ve gotten over that vital piece of information, cleared our calendars, and cancelled all important engagements, events, and family dinners between Feb 8 and 14, let’s learn some more about the new album.

On Friday (January 25), the cover of the album, tracklist, and preorder details will drop. We can only assume that the rumour mill will be working on overtime to try and pin down the meaning behind the artwork, what each song is about, everything.

Ariana’s also said that there are no features on this album, which is a new move for the 25-year-old singer. Considering Ariana’s been partial to the odd feature in the past, including The WeekndMissy ElliottChildish GambinoA$AP FergNicki MinajMacy Gray, and her late ex-boyfriend Mac Miller across her last four albums, it’s fairly new territory for her to be stepping out on her own for a whole album.

Yep, Thank U, Next is just Ariana on her own, singing to you and all of your feelings. Good luck.

As for singles, well ‘7 Rings‘ is the last one we’ll get to hear before the album drops, so there’s no more music from Thank U, Next for at least two weeks. BUT once she’s dropped the album, it’s looking like we’ll get a third single, which Ariana has already figured out. Which means we’ll get another deeply-inspired video clip, and if ‘Thank U, Next‘ and ‘7 Rings‘ are anything to go by, it’s going to be good as hell.

So there you have it folks, we’re inching ever closer to new music from Ariana Grande, maybe 2019 isn’t going to be so bad after all. And if it does end up as a burning pile of trash, at least it’ll have a good-ass soundtrack.
