Ariana Grande, as well as dropping her fifth record thank u, next, has today released a video for new single ‘break up with your girlfriend, i’m bored‘, which both features an *NSYNC sample and is such a VIBE.

In the clip, which she’s been teasing for the last 24 hours, Grande faces off against her double at the club and at a party, and her double is dating Riverdale‘s Charles Melton.
Yeah, okay, I buy that lust.
The premiere of the clip on YouTube came complete with a chatroom, which you can still check out, a sacred space where fellow Grande stans gushed about their undying love and devotion to the Princess of Pop (Bey is Queen).
Still, the clip, created by ‘thank u, next‘ director Hannah Lux Davis, takes an unexpected turn in the final moments, where we discover who the actual object of her desire is…

Earlier this week, Grande cancelled her scheduled performance at the Grammys this weekend, reportedly because producers’ didn’t want her to perform ‘7 rings‘. They apparently eventually agreed to the song choice, but requested it be part of a medley where they could choose the second song.
On Twitter this morning, Grande clapped back at the claim by producer Ken Ehrlich that she “felt it was too late for her to pull something together“.
She responded that she can do so overnight, but that she felt “stifled” by Ehrlich’s direction.
