Xbox Is Dropping Legit PUBG Loot Boxes All Over Australia This Saturday

For those who’ve never played PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (sort your shit out, please), 100 players enter a 8km x 8km map and the last man or team standing wins. It’s a simple but incredibly entertaining concept.

At points throughout a match, planes will fly overhead and drop loot crates at random locations, usually prompting a number of firefights between those hopeful to get a slice of what’s inside, which is usually rare guns and items not found anywhere else.

Sometimes referred to a plane poop, the crates will spew red smoke for a few minutes after they land – an iconic sight to behold (and to camp if you’re after some easy kills). To celebrate the release of PUBG on its console, Xbox Australia will be dropping loot crates around the country containing legit cool shit.

No, you’re not gonna score a high-powered sniper rifle, you psycho, the crates will hold much safer loot, like Xbox One X consoles and Elite Controllers, Xbox Live codes, PUBG loot and PUBG game codes which will unlock when it’s released via Games Preview on December 12.

The drops will happen this Saturday the 9th of December in three separate locations across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane respectively. You can suss out a video of what to expect below.

Look at that bloody crate, it’s fucking bang on. If you wanna make a play for the loot closest to you, keep an eye on the Xbox ANZ Facebook Page for details around the location of the drops and the password that you’ll need to yell at the staff member on hand when you arrive.

Good luck, folks, don’t forget your frying pan.
