Ah, the couple that keeps on giving. Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are notorious for their social media trolling of each other but this time, Ryan took it to a whole new level when he casually mentioned Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants in the latest Deadpool 2 trailer.
Amused fans picked-up on it and giggled when toward the end of the trailer, Deadpool says,
“Doing the right thing is messy, but if you want to fight for what’s right, sometimes you have to fight dirty. And that is why Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants is straight-up pornography.”
In case you’re blanking, Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants stars Blake and is about four best friends who find a magical pair of jeans and take it in turns wearing them. Said ‘right things’ that happen include befriending annoying but lovable people, telling your dad he’s a dick for remarrying someone else, and making out with your soccer coach. I meannn, it’s still a fab film from the teen years but that was definitely Ryan poking fun at Blake. That, or the weirdest way to promo your wife’s past work.
But then when fans re-watched the trailer, they picked up on some even more potentially troll-worthy dialogue.
It happens right after the above scene around the 2:22 minute mark and it includes Deadpool talking to Weasel (T.J Miller) about… a certain movie. But what movie, we don’t know.
So the scene goes like this.
Deadpool: It lives up to the hype, plus plus.
Weasel: They probably won’t even make a three.
Deadpool: Yeah, why would they? Stop at two, ya killed it.
Potential self-roast or trolling the Sisterhood? It could just be a delicious case of a coincidence but this is Deadpool we’re talking about. I smell trolling.
