Turns Out Ryan Reynolds Reluctantly Axed A Disney Joke From ‘Deadpool 2’

Ryan ‘Deadpool’ Reynolds has painfully shared he was forced to cut a Disney joke from Deadpool 2 because this time, it was probably too risqué for the multi-billion dollar monster of a company to brush off.

As the press tour for the highly anticipated sequel begins, Ryan has been doing the rounds in Hollywood.

And while sitting down with Entertainment Weekly, our fave savage said of the cut:

“This is a sore spot for me because there’s a joke in the movie that is not in the movie now because — I’m probably not even allowed to say this — Fox made me take it out… It had more to do with Disney, and they made me take it out. As I look back at it, I think maybe that was a wise decision.”

Wise decision being that Disney has recently bought 21st Century Fox.

But still… what could it have been!? Oh, the possibilities.

BUT, Ryan has blessed us with the news there’ll still be at least one running Disney joke in the film and it’s about Disney’s animated/overplayed favourite Frozen.

If you’ve seen the trailer for Deadpool 2 you would’ve seen the fine roastings of pop-culture characters and universes speckled throughout the trailer.

In the latest one, Deadpool breaks the sacred fourth wall and says, “Pump the brakes, Thanosto Cable as in Josh Brolin who plays both characters in the Marvel universe. Then when in mid-combat with Thanos-Cable-Josh, Deadpool says, “So dark…. you sure you’re not from the DC Universe,” when Thanos-Cable-Josh is giving him some smack.

And of course, Deadpool also trolls his IRL wife Blake Lively by making a mockery of The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.

As for a possible Deadpool 3, Ryan has absolutely no clue what’s going on there. He’s also not particularly sure we need another Wade Wilson spectacular and though this might upset a lotta people, Ryan did co-write the sequel so he’d really know what’s up.

In case ya missed it, Ryan and Céline Dion released the official music video for “Ashes” from the film’s soundtrack overnight and it’s… it’s what’s been missing from your life.

Trailer hype time:

Can safely say everyone’s most excited for X-Force member, good ol’ average Peter.

May 18, keep it free.
