Season two of the anthology series, The Haunting of Bly Manor, is based on the works of Henry James. According to Deadlineseason two is inspired by the author’s 1898 psychological Gothic horror novella The Turn of the Screw, which is mostly set in a haunted country mansion. Lovely!

Jackson-Cohen, who I did not know is English, shared the news on Haunting‘s Twitter earlier this week. The cheeky bugger had been keeping this a secret for months but finally, the cat’s outta the bag.

“I play a guy called Peter, who is a charming young man who lives at Bly,” he revealed. “I feel like I can’t tell you anything else. He makes life very difficult for everyone there.”

Last month, co-star Pedretti revealed she’ll be playing a governess named Dani who takes care of two very unusual children.

The Haunting of Bly Manor will haunt the hell out of the streaming giant come 2020.

Meanwhile, Carla Gugino – who starred as Olivia – recently told The Wrap that she’s in talks with the show’s creator Mike Flanagan about returning for season two.

“Well, I can’t say anything definitive at this point, other than Mike and I really love collaborating and working together and any opportunity where a schedule allows for us to do that, we will, and I would be honoured to,” she said.

Apart from Haunting, the pair have also worked on the film adaptation of Stephen King‘s Gerald’s Game together.

“So we’re talking a lot about it and we’ll just see if all schedules allow,” Gugino added.

Michiel Huisman, Elizabeth Reaser, Kate Siegel, and Timothy Hutton also starred in season one and I bloody hope they all return.

The Haunting of Hill House is available to stream on Netflix now.
