Christmas has come early – real bloody early – because Crazy Rich Asians star Henry Golding has shared the first piccie from his upcoming romcom, Last Christmas, co-starring Mother of Dragons Emilia Clarke.
If you haven’t heard about this movie before then buckle up because this is everything you’ve ever wanted in a Christmas romcom.
Last Christmas, inspired by the Wham! classic, introduces us to Kate (Clarke) who works as an elf in a year-round Christmas shop in London. Unfortunately, Kate has made a couple of bad decisions in the past so when Tom (Golding) steps into her life, she thinks he’s too good to be true.
The film also stars Golding’s Crazy Rich Asians mama Michelle Yeoh.
Golding’s A Simple Favor director Paul Feig helms the film from a script co-written by the one and only Dame Emma Thompson and Bryony Kimmings. Thompson also stars in the movie.
The film will also feature unreleased music from the late George Michael.
Taking to his Instagram earlier today, Golding shared a piccie from the film and look, it’s a BIG romcom mood.
“Mark my words, this one is going to be special…” he captioned the post. “First official look at Kate and Tom from @lastchristmasmovie November could not come any sooner!! X”
Hype, so much bloody hype.
Look at them.
Last Christmas is currently set for a November 15, 2019 release date in the UK so hopefully we cop it around the same time.
Anywhoo, if that one picture is enough to send you back to December then Love Actually and The Holiday are up on Netflix. There’s also the streaming giant’s original films The Princess Switch, The Holiday Calendar, The Christmas Prince, The Spirit of Christmas among so many more.
We are one month into the year but still…
