The divine Michelle Yeoh has joined the excellent cast of festive romantic comedy Last Christmas.

Yeoh will star alongside her Crazy Rich Asians on-screen son Henry Golding, Mother of Dragons Emilia Clarke, and Dame Emma Thompson – is that not an absolutely stellar cast?

Not to mention Thompson and Bryony Kimmings have written the script.

Based in London during Chrissy time, Last Christmas takes us into the world of Kate (Clarke), a woman with dodgy judgement and who works as an elf in a year-round Christmas shop. Golding will step into the role of handsome man Tom, who’s absolutely perfect and able to break down all of Kate’s walls.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, there’s still no word yet on who Yeoh will officially play but here’s hoping there’s Mahjong and dumpling-making involved.

The lovely Yeoh shared the news on her Instagram with the caption “Reunion”.

Last Christmas – inspired by the Wham! classic – will feature music from George Michael as well as unreleased content.

Paul Feig helms the film. His other flick, A Simple Favor, also stars Golding.

Unfortunately, we have to wait until November 2019 for this baby to hit the big screen but in the meantime, ultimate Chrissy faves Love Actually and The Holiday are coming to Netflix on December 7.

Mark it in the calendars.

There’s also Netflix originals The Holiday Calendar and The Princess Switch which are available now – they both get the job done. Last but not least, A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding, the sequel to the unlikely Netflix romcom phenomenon will land on the streaming service on November 30.
