Donald Glover Just Tweeted Out An Entire Ep Of His Cancelled ‘Deadpool’ Series

Just a few days after it was announced that FX had decided to can the Donald Glover–helmed Deadpool animates series, Glover has taken to Twitter to post the script of an entire episode of the show.

The proposed show was going to be 10-episodes long, with Glover and his brother Stephen slated to work as showrunners, executive producers, and writers. Unfortunately, FX announced that “FX, Donald Glover, Stephen Glover and Marvel Television agreed to “part ways” due to “creative differences“.

Although titled ‘Finale‘, it would seem pretty clear that it was not written as one of the intended episodes of the series, given that it features references to quite a few things that occurred either after the show was cancelled or only very slightly before – things like the death of Sudan the northern white rhino and Beyoncé getting bitten in the face.

Even more telling than that are the pervasive references to the cancellation of the show itself:

Several pages of the script are Deadpool essentially speculating over the reasons that the show might have been cancelled while talking to the unresponsive rhino, seemingly a stand-in for Glover wondering whether the show didn’t appeal enough to white audiences or if he personally had pissed off Marvel.

Glover writes in Deadpool’s voice pretty phenomenally, it’s a bummer we won’t be getting the show. You can read the whole thing right here (as long as he doesn’t delete it).
