HOLY SHIT: Donald Glover’s Next Project Is A ‘Deadpool’ Animated Series

So he might not ever get to be Spider-Man, but as far as we’re concerned this is bloody close enough.
Very talented person Donald Glover will be bringing ‘Deadpool‘ to TV screens via a brand new animated series on US cable network FXX.
The animated version of the Merc with a Mouth has already received a straight-to-series order, and a 10-episode first season is expected to hit screens at some point in 2018.
Glover will be co-creating the series alongside his brother and ‘Atlanta‘ writer Stephen Glover. The duo will be serving as showrunners, executive producers, and writers for the show.
The animated ‘Deadpool‘ continues Marvel Studios‘ push into the TV world, as well as their working relationship with FX. Marvel Television rep and series executive producer Jeph Loeb frothed on the upcoming show in a statement to media.

“How much more fun could this be? Deadpool, Donald and FX – the perfect fit for the Merc with the Mouth. We’re thrilled that our relationship with FX that started with ‘Legion‘ continues with what is sure to be a groundbreaking show in adult animation.”

The show doesn’t have much in the way of other info – it doesn’t even have an official title as of yet.

But of all the Marvel properties, ‘Deadpool‘ is the one that feels like the obvious and best choice to be transferred over to an extremely adult animated series.
Now if the whole thing can be done in hyper-violent, very sweary, over-the-top sexy crayon-style animation, we’ll really be cooking with gas.
We say it a lot, but rarely do we mean it more than now: K. E. E. N.
