Sexy teen drama Riverdale has announced a sexy new addition to its sexy cast, with reports that former One Tree Hill heartthrob Chad Michael Murray will be playing the role of some sort of sexy cult leader.
Murray will play the as-yet-unseen leader of The Farm, the sinister upstate cult of which Madchen Amick‘s Alice is currently a member. Per the official description of his character from the website of The CW:
“As the enigmatic leader of the cult-like Farm, Edgar arrives in Riverdale to spread his teachings and heal the ravaged soul of this once wholesome town. Edgar is a charming, handsome guru, but is he hiding a more sinister agenda?”
Riverdale is currently airing its third season, which streams on Netflix here in Australia, and was officially renewed for a fourth season earlier this year.
Chad Michael Murray has worked consistently in TV since starring in One Tree Hill and Gilmore Girls, and he recently appeared in Agent Carter and the Lee Daniels-produced Star.
He also co-authored a novel, American Drifter, a romance thriller set in Brazil that was described at the time as a “tale of passion and danger”.
