Zooey Deschanel and M.Ward – ceremonially known as She and Him – have penned a bunch of songs for the upcoming Winnie the Pooh movie.
The track ‘So Long’ will feature in the closing credits, with the duo also responsible for the theme song, ‘A Very Important Thing to Do’, and guest vocal contributions on ‘Everything is Honey’ and ‘Pooh’s Finale’.
Deschanel professed her love for the honey fiend, saying “He is cuddly and adorable. He loves honey-at least that’s what I heard. But he loves his friends even more. I just want to hug him.” Sounds a bit like one of her characters.
The film will feature the voices of Jim Cummings(Gummy Bears, Tale Spin, Chip ‘n Dale), John Cleese and talk show host Craig Ferguson. It’s due out July 15.
