NY Times Magazine posted a black and white film series called Fourteen Actors Acting… described as Performers who defined cinema in 2010 capture classic screen types, featuring a heap of big names: Javier Bardem, Jesse Eisenberg, James Franco, Natalie Portman, Matt Damon, Michael Douglas, Tilda Swinton, Anthony Mackie and Robert Duvall. A couple of the clips, made by the fantastic Solve Sundsbo, are kind of boring but then there’s Franco. Jesus this guy. He does so much random shit you’re all “can you give it a rest? you’re saturating the internet” but then you’re all “aw I can’t stay mad at you, let’s go grab a milkshake”. Tilda Swinton is her usual eye-magnet captivating self and there’s nice tunes by the wonderful Owen Pallett too. Worth a look.
