US Cinema Chain Announces Clowns-Only Screenings For ‘It 2’, Which Is A Big Nope

Meanwhile in America, the film heads at Alamo Drafthouse have come up with the cooked idea to host a slew of CLOWNS-ONLY screenings of It: Chapter Two. Why? Why?

The screenings will take place across 17 theatre locations – from Dallas to Brooklyn – come September 5. Alamo started the whole Clowns-Only stitcheroo as a “sarcastic response to a snarky Facebook comment” way back in 2017, for the release of It: Chapter One. Apparently people genuinely like dressing up as terrifying clowns because all the screenings sold out. So now, Alamo are doing it again.

“Please come dressed as a clown,” the cinema chain said on its website “Wig, makeup, oversized pants and suspenders, blood-curdling makeup.

“Then you’ll watch the chilling conclusion to the biggest horror duology ever made with a theatre full of fellow… clowns.”

It: Chapter Two picks up 27 years after the events of the first film. The Losers Club, consisting of Bill, Richie, Eddie, Beverly, Ben, Mike, and Stan, have all grown up but ItIt is still an ungodly thing hellbent on ruining all their lives.

The film stars Jessica Chastain as an adult Beverly, James McAvoy as adult Bill, Bill Hader as adult Richie, Isaiah Mustafa as adult Mike, Jake Ryan as adult Ben, James Ransone as adult Eddie, and Andy Bean as an adult Stanley.

All the original kid stars, Jaeden Martell, Wyatt Oleff, Jack Dylan, Finn Wolfhard, Sophia Lillis, Chosen Jacobs, and Jeremy Ray Taylor, reprise their roles.

And, Bill Skarsgård returns as Pennywise.

It: Chapter 2, directed by Andy Muschietti, hits cinemas September 5.

I could barely make it through this trailer, so that just proves how pathetically weak I am.

I hate it, I hate it so much.

You know what else I hate? The fact that Momo is being turned into a movie.
