There’s A Clowns-Only Screening Of ‘It’ If You’re A Weirdo Who’d Enjoy That

If you’re the kind of person who feels like It isn’t going to be scary enough as is, then feel free to haul ass to Austin, Texas, where for inexplicable reasons a clown-only screening of the film is very much happening.

The Alamo Drafthouse, best known for making extremely online dudes extremely mad when they held women-only screenings of Wonder Woman have decided to replicate their winning formula by playing It for a roomful of actual clowns.

It actually seems like it might have been sparked by a pissed-off comment on their Wonder Woman post. “Will there be a male only screening for Thor: Ragnarok or a special screening for It that’s only for those who identify as clowns?” one user wrote on Facebook.

“We might actually have to steal that clown idea,” the Drafthouse replied.

They’ve posted a statement on their website confirming that the screening is real:

For this special Clown screening of IT, all attendees should arrive dressed as a clown in order to attend. Please arrive early and join us in the Barrel O’ Fun beginning at 5:30pm for an IT pre-party where we will have face-painters available for clown “touch-ups”, a photo booth, raffles for prizes, and other terrifying merriment. Please arrive in your own Pennywise best and be ready to float with us.

Well. There you go. Here’s the ‘It’ trailer, if you’re keen to relive it:
