This will henceforth be known as the year when the hype for material leaked from Comic Con vastly exceeded the excitement for anything that was actually, legitimately released to the public.
Yesterday, the internet went nuts for a few minutes of leaked, fuzzy footage from Suicide Squad, showing Margot Robbie, Will Smith and Jared Leto in action as a posse of villains.
If that wasn’t enough to quench your thirst for comic book violence, then you’ll be thrilled to know that the Deadpool trailer has also leaked, in similarly fuzzy form, and the internet’s losing its damn mind.
Ryan Reynolds stars as ex-special forces agent Wade Wilson, who develops healing powers after being subjected to a nasty experiment, and the film looks to have all the bloodshed and twisted humour you’d expect:
If you’ve well and truly given up on the idea of getting any work done this fine Monday, then you can watch the raucous Deadpool Comic Con panel, in which Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller and the other stars introduce their characters.
