The Bodyguard Who Was Fired For Hitting On Kim Takes A Crack At Kanye

A security guard formerly employed by the Kardashian-Wests (and presumably no longer interested in working the celebrity detail) has unloaded on Kanye in a hilariously shady interview, after he was allegedly fired for hitting on Kim on the night of the Met Gala
Steve Stanulis, a former Chippendales dancer and NYPD officer, called his former employer “the most self-absorbed person” on the planet, and added “Kanye needs to chill the fuck out.”
The 42-year-old, who denies having any thirst for Kim, was reportedly fired just minutes after he approached the Presidential Suite at the Waldorf Astoria, where the couple were staying.
He reckons his only purpose was to double check on travel plans, telling Daily Mail Online:
“I was walking [past] and the door was open and I happened to see Kim. I thought I’d ask her or the other security or assistant if there was a change of plan.”
At this point, Stanulis says that Kanye walked past, ignoring him, then entered another room and slammed the door, which …seems to be within the realms of things Kanye might do, right?

The bodyguard went downstairs to speak with a driver, unaware of the drama he’d caused until moments later, when he was approached by a Kanye handler and told that his services were no longer required.
Stanulis was warned not to “get too close” to Kim after working for the couple during New York Fashion Week, but insists that he did not have any flirtatious interest in her, saying:

“Even if I wanted to, I never got the opportunity because it happened so fast. Maybe it was a misunderstanding.”
He went on to call his period of employment with Kanye “traumatic”, adding:
“They just left me  … There is a right way and wrong way to talk to people. Just because you have status, doesn’t give you the right to talk to people in a certain way. I would go to a restaurant with him and watch him to make sure nobody was bothering him. Not once was I offered a glass of water or a soda. That was never in his mindset.”
On a roll at this point, Stanulis gleefully set fire to his future prospects in the field of celebrity security guarding, saying:
“I had heard through the grapevine that Kanye was tough to deal with and he went through a lot of security. I was told before I took the work that I had to be thick skinned and prepared for anything because the littlest thing could trigger him … I took Kanye and the two babies to the airport. He never said, ‘Good job, thank you, I appreciate it’ … nothing.  He just left me standing there. I wanted to spit on the floor as that was how annoyed I was. I don’t know how people can work like that 24/7. People like his handlers make excuses for him, but there is no excuse for that … Kanye has so much in his life. He should be thankful and be grateful for people who work so hard to keep him safe and happy.”
Kanye has not commented. Somewhere, Kim is quietly singing The Bodyguard soundtrack to herself in the shower.
