Bachie’s Hot Bogan Sierah Says Her Bitchiest Moments On TV Were Just Her Taking The Piss

Sierah Swepstone, Bachelor Australia

The Bachelor Australia waved goodbye to Sierah Swepstone in Thursday night’s episode, bringing an end to her reign as the show’s “tall, horny bogan.”

Her time on The Bachelor Australia may be over, but I’m willing to bet we haven’t seen the last of her on our tellies. I’ll eat my bloody arse if Sierah doesn’t end up on Bachelor in Paradise whenever it decides to come back.

We chatted to Sierah about her stint on Bachieand here’s what she had to say.

PEDESTRIAN.TV: Why did you apply for The Bachelor?

Sierah Swepstone: I just thought it would be a hoot and I’ve always felt like I was born for reality TV. And I think watching the season back, I think I was correct!

PTV: And what was your first impression of Jimmy?

SS: I thought he was nice – definitely didn’t feel an instant romantic spark with him. But I thought I’d stick around and give it a red hot crack.

PTV: So, did you watch last night’s episodes?

SS: I did… and it was iconic [laughs].

PTV: [laughs] Fab! So can you talk me through your final one-on-one time with Jimmy?

SS: Oh my god, so I thought the conversation with Jimmy went really well. I made sure he knew I was, like, reeeeally good at dodgeball and clearly, I thought that was going to get me a rose. Um, and I was totalllly wrong.

So yeah, my ego definitely did hurt a little bit when I didn’t get a rose. I thought I definitely would’ve, but the limo ride – oh my gosh. It was just so funny – I also said when I got in there that love is like a fart, if you have to force it then it’s probably shit.

PTV: Oh, my god.

SS: I was really hoping that would’ve made it in! I started on a fart joke, end on a fart joke. But “tall, horny bogan” was also good.

PTV: I feel like you had a lot of one-liners, do you have a favourite?

SS: Ohh fuck, um, I don’t know! There were just so many good ones. I thought it was pretty funny in Wednesday’s episode when I just said, “I look sexy AF!” I don’t even remember doing that! That was funny, also my chlamydia one.

[When the women had to dress up as animals, Sierah said she wanted to dress up like a koala because “I like sleeping and I’ve definitely had chlamydia.”]

PTV: So, the goodbye with Jimmy. Did you actually say anything to him, or did you just walk away?

SS: I just walked away. I was like, “SOI YA” [laughs].

PTV: [laughs] And were you happy with the way you were portrayed?

SS: Oh yeah, for the most part I was definitely – I thought I was pretty funny and I think – perhaps some things made it look like I was being a bitch, but I was totally just taking the piss and I’m hoping the majority of people watching that could see that I was just being super sarcastic and I just have a very dry sense of humour.

PTV: What are your thoughts on the whole Steph Lynch and Holly Kingston drama, I feel like that’s taken up a lot of air time this season?

SS: Honestly, I stayed out of it. Steph’s one of my best mates. I feel like she’s definitely copping it, so look I’ll defend Steph until I’m blue in the face, just because she’s my bestie and I’m loyal to her.

It’s so funny to watch, because I obviously love her dearly and I know her well. And I just know how she is, so I just facepalm constantly like, ‘Oh my god, Steph, whhhhhhyyyyy’. But it’s funny and she’s taking it pretty well.

PTV: Would you do Bachie again, like Bachelor in Paradise?

SS: I would definitely do Bachelor in Paradise for sure! I think that would be such a fun experience, and like a bigger pool of testicles. So that’d be a better ratio for me. I definitely wouldn’t be a contestant on The Bachelor again, but I’d definitely be the Bachelorette!

The Bachelor Australia continues 7.30pm, Wednesdays and Thursdays on Channel 10.
