These ‘Stranger Things’ Premiere Pics Prove The Cast Is Skipping Their Awkward Teen Phase

Stranger Things

Stranger Things 3 is less than a week away from hitting Netflix so to celebrate, the cast and crew of the series took to the red – well black – carpet for its worldwide premiere in Santa Monica, California. On one hand, we adore the young Stranger Things cast for how goddamn cool and talented they are. On the other hand, the premiere pictures prove none of them have gone through their embarrassing awkward puberty stage and that’s just NOT ON.

For the y’huge event, Netflix transformed Santa Monica Pier into Hawkins with carnival-themed music, food, and games. Check out the show’s official Instagram Story to feel immediate FOMO.

Behold, Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas), Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven) in her stunning ballerina gown, Sadie Sink (Max), Finn Wolfhard (Mike) increasingly becoming more and more ~ indie ~, and Noah Schnapp (Will) who’s a full-on YouTuber now.

Swipe away to see the cool kids through the years.

No one’s allowed to be this cool at the ages of 14 and 15.

(Schnapp really is 14, he was born in October 2004.)

We can’t forget world’s best babysitter Joe Keery AKA Steve with his fave child Dustin.

There’ll be more wholesome Steve x Dustin content in the new season, Matarazzo recently confirmed the good news in an interview. There’s even an ad for New Coke, which features in the season, with the bromance front and centre if you’re getting impatient.

Stranger Things 3, which co-stars David Harbour, Winona Ryder, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, and our very own Dacre Montgomery, will premiere on Netflix July 4.

It has been a fair while – more than a year and a half – since Stranger Things 2 debuted so we wouldn’t blame you if your memory’s a bit rusty. In season three, it’s the summer of 1985 and Hawkins is under attack again by a slew of things from the Upside Down.

In a recent interview with Entertainment WeeklyHarbour – Sheriff Hopper – hyped the hell out of the upcoming season by saying the finale is “the greatest episode we’ve ever shot.”

“It’s so emotionally powerful because you’re not expecting what happens to happen. I don’t think we’ve ever shot anything more moving,” he said.

July 4th – highlight it, circle it, underline it, lock it in.

To jog the ol’ memory, the cool kids got together and filmed an entire recap video to make sure you’re all caught up and ready to go.

WARNING: McLaughlin AKA Lucas is about to make you feel real old.
