Hold on to your fuckin’ webs, literally everyone you love from the old Spider-Man movies will be returning to make an appearance in Spider-Man 3 (2021), alongside our favourite new Peter Parker actor Tom Holland.
It goes without saying that one of the best Spider-Man actors of our time has to be Tom Holland, but some folks still have a sweet spot in their hearts for the portrayal offered up by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield in their separate offerings over the years. I mean, the OG Spider-Man 3 with Venom, Sandman and an emo Spider-Man? Iconic. Will go down in history.
No matter which Spider-Man series you love though, it seems that all three will be crossing over into the one film, with a star-studded cast coming our way. Andrew Garfield (Spider-Man), Jamie Foxx (Garfield’s villain Electro), Alfred Molina (Maguire’s villain Dr Octopus) and Kirsten freaking Dunst (Maguire’s MJ) have all now been confirmed for the film.
Tobey Maguire has also been confirmed to be in negotiations, alongside Emma Stone, who played Gwen Stacy in the Garfield films.
Needless to say, this is an absolutely batshit crossover idea and we are here for it. Pump this film right into my veins already.
BREAKING: Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, Kirsten Dunst, & Emma Stone are CONFIRMED to be returning & joining Tom Holland in Marvel Studios’ ‘Spider-Man 3’ (2021), in what may be the most ambitious crossover in the MCU thus far.

Naturally, fans of the series are asking how the fuck this makes any sense whatsoever, and some people are offering up their theories as to how this could be possible that three Spider-Men appear in the same film, alongside villains who basically died.
Another character confirmed for the film, who gives us a bit of insight into what kind of shenanigans we can expect, is Benedict Cumberbatch‘s Doctor Strange.
If you’re not exactly a big fan of Marvel, or Cumberbatch, then the basic explanation is that timey-wimey space stuff usually follow his character around like the plague, so it’s very possible that either he or one of his enemies opens up some alternate dimension that gifts us all of the past heroes and villains.
Probable Theory: Since we know Doctor Strange is going to be in this one, maybe one of his magical enemies pulls them out of alternate universes to fight Spidey.
My tin foil hat theory: Doc Ock got sucked into the MCU through a wormhole created by his Tritium Sun at the end of 2

Doppelgangers probably. They’re going to set up the multiverse by establishing different versions of characters played by the same actors.

Can’t wait to see how this actually plays out. All I need in my life is Maguire, Garfield and Holland together at last, talking to each other. My brain would probs explode.
