Andrew Garfield Now Reckons He’s Not Gonna Be In Spider-Man 3 & Someone’s Pants Are On Fire

Andrew Garfield

Spider-Man fans and lovers of Andrew Garfield, hold onto your webs, because it looks like everything we’ve been lead to believe about the upcoming third movie in the series, Spider-Man: No Way Home, was a complete fkn lie.

In an interview with Josh Horowitz for the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Garfield confirmed that he hasn’t received a phone call from Marvel, hasn’t been contacted at all for the third movie, and has no idea why people are going crazy over his reappearance when it just isn’t true.

“Dude, it’s fucking hilarious to me, because I do have this Twitter account, and I see how often Spider-Man is trending, and it’s like, people freaking out about a thing, and I’m just like… I wish I could just be able to speak to everyone and say: ‘I recommend that you chill.’” Garfield said.

“Listen, I can’t speak for anything else but for myself. They might be doing something, but I ain’t got a call.”

Well, way to crush our hopes and dreams Garfield.

In December of last year, it was seemingly confirmed that Andrew Garfield, Kirsten DunstEmma Stone and Tobey Maguire would be returning for Spider-Man 3, reprising their roles as part of a strange alternative universe storyline.

But in the podcast episode, Garfield says: “Listen, I can’t speak for anything else but for myself. They might be doing something, but I ain’t got a call.”

Could it be that none of these actors have even been contacted for the movie? Because that is a huge fkn bummer. We do know that Jamie Foxx (the villain Electro from the Garfield Spider-Man films) and Alfred Molina (Dr. Octopus from the Maguire films) are deadset confirmed to be in the film, so now I’m just confused.

I mean, Garfield is an actor, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he was lying. It wouldn’t be the first time we’ve been lied to, either.

No matter how things play out, we know for a fact that the father of my children, Tom Holland, will be wrapping up his contract with this third instalment, and that the movie definitely has some timey-wimey multiple-realities tied to the theme, thus the appearances from villains of old.

We don’t want the villains though, we want the spidey boys all together again!

Alas, at least we have Tom Holland.
