A ginormous congratulations is in order for Shay Mitchell who has given birth to a beautiful baby girl. Shay shared the news on Instagram a few moments ago, posting a picture of the wee bub’s itty bitty hand.

Shay and her boyfriend Matte Babel announced they were expecting their first child on IG and Youtube in late June. At the time, Shay was already a solid six months pregnant.
“Never letting go,” she captioned the piccie of her baby girl.
Shay documented her pregnancy journey in her YouTube series Almost Ready. In her first episode of the series, Shay explained why she kept her pregnancy a secret for six months and also opened up about her past miscarriage.
“I chose to hold on until I announced because of the first time,” she shared. “It didn’t go as I had hoped for, and it was extremely difficult.”
“The first time that I was pregnant last year, Matte and I hadn’t been planning. It happened and we were really excited about it,” she said. “I was like 14 weeks. At that point, I had no idea the percentage of miscarriages. When it happened I was just completely blindsided by it. I still have those photos on my phone, I still have all the doctor visits and it’s weird because I haven’t looked at them obviously but it’s not like I forgot about that happening. So of course I’m super happy but I still feel for the one that I lost.”
Throughout her pregnancy, Shay also shared a slew of precious videos including a Pregnancy Cravings ASMR mukbang with her Pretty Little Liars co-star Ian Harding.
And, never forget, Shay went absolutely viral after her assistant threw her the most wild gender reveal party… ever. Instead of confetti and balloons, Shay and Matte copped two of their friends dressed in pink and blue Power Ranger onesies. Said Power Rangers legitimately wrestled, fell into a pool, and almost drowned because they couldn’t breathe through their costumes. Very normal. Very safe. All that to reveal they were having a baby girl.
