Excuse my grammatically erroneous headline I promise it’s not without reason. For the enlightenment (and entertainment) of the general public, Time Out Sydney have recently released the findings of a survey covering the bed hopping habits of over a thousand Sydneysiders. Unsurprisingly the results suggest that when it comes to sex and this city, we’re more Samantha Jones than Charlotte Yorke.
From our sexual orientation and the age we lost our virginity, to our favourite positions and celebrity fantasies there’s enough smutty facts here to fuel a year’s worth of lowbrow conversation or incite a smidgen of sexual inadequacy (Where are my STD’s? Everyone else has them). A tidbit I suggest bringing up at the water cooler reads: “Then there are those who really stepped out and had sex with four or more people at once – apparently 23% of Sydneysiders have participated in orgies.” Really? One in four? Have I been living in a convent this past year? Where are these orgies happening? Clearly the sample was taken from Arq on a Saturday night.
