Seth Rogen Fights Cancer With Humour in ’50/50′

Seth Rogen just can’t get enough of helping terminally ill bros out.

The Knocked Up star first showed his ability to use comedy for healing as the assistant to Adam Sandler‘s dying comedian in Funny People. Now he’s back alongside Joseph Gordon Levitt in ’50/50′, based on the true story of Rogen’s screenwriter friend, Will Reiser, who was given a 50-50 chance of surviving a tumour. Of course, any vehicle Rogen attaches himself to is bound to include either weed or sex gags, and this one’s no exception. But it looks a lot more heartwarming and less gag-filled than his usual fare and it’s been getting a lot of positive talk in Hollywood, particularly for Gordon Levitt’s treatment of the lead role. Also they used Cut Copy‘s ‘Where I’m Going’ in the trailer, which earns immediate brownie points with us.
