Seth Rogen, a man with popular opinions, a great beard and a laugh you want to get stoned with, has long been a thorn in the side of convicted terrible person and real life Joffrey Baratheon, Justin Bieber. Most incisively a few months back at the apex (or nadir, depending on how you look at it) of the great Justin Bieber shame spiral of 2014 when the comedian tweeted “All jokes aside, Justin Bieber is a piece of shit.”
As it turns out, though, that opinion is based on more than just secondhand James Franco stories. Earlier this week, Rogen stopped by the Howard Stern show and explained that the reserves of contempt he harbours for the swaggiest pop star to ever rock a studded leather baseball cap stems from an ill-fated meet and greet in Germany.
“We were backstage at a German talk show and someone came to the door and was like, ‘Justin Bieber wants to meet you’,” Rogen explained. “Then I went outside to meet him and he was acting like I asked to meet him.”

“I saw him again at like an MTV awards show, he literally had a snake wrapped around his fucking wrist that he was wearing,” Rogen continued. “I talked to him for like five minutes… No humility, no awareness, no sense that ‘I appeal to young, young people, maybe a grown man who works in comedy doesn’t fucking give a shit about me. Maybe I should act in such a way that perhaps this isn’t the great experience of his fucking life.”
