Selma Blair is having an extremely bad day, you guys.
If you’re anything like me, when you think of Selma Blair you think of seminal late 90s/early 00s films ‘Cruel Intentions‘ and ‘Legally Blonde‘. Maybe you’re a ‘Hellboy‘ fan (they exist, I’m sure), but ‘American Crime Story‘ aside, she largely exists in a bubble of that period, alongside too-thin eyebrows and a shockingly unnecessary belt. Truly, it is the time that fashion forgot.
But guess what! Selma Blair is still around and doing things. Specifically, she’s having a real bad time doing things.
The poor soul accidentally drove away from the petrol station with the nozzle still in, and then posted a teary selfie and an essay about it to Instagram.
Confused? Same. Let’s dive in.
She begins: “Ok. So my head is still pounding. I drove away from a gas pump with the nozzle still in.”
We’ve all been there. Maybe it wasn’t a nozzle in a petrol station pump, maybe it was just leaving the ol’ wallet on top of the car, or not putting your phone on charge properly overnight. Absent-minded shit. We’re all guilty.
She continues: “I was chastised for wearing fur but that was weird cause it was teddy bear fur.”
A quick bit of googling later, and it turns out that ‘teddy bear fur’ is what Americans call some forms of faux fur, so I guess there’s more than one way to skin a cuddly toy.
“And then I paid for the broken pump so that was over a 500 dollar tank of gas.”
I’m still confused. Was it the petrol station guy yelling at her about fur?
“Felt awful for being so absent minded. Then I burst into tears in front of barista after ordering and made everyone uncomfortable. Still crying.”
Yes we can see that, Selma.
“And I ran out of dog food. And excedrin [a pain killer]. Can I have someone say this will pass? #waytogo #crapday #stillgrateful #makemelaughplease #timetoplaywithmylittleone.”
Now put it all together, and what have you got? An eyebrow waggle that I cannot stop looking at.
