Ryan Reynolds and John Krasinski both had a cheeky dig at Hugh Jackman on the weekend, over a couple shots of Hugh Jackman getting maybe a little too close to Krasinski’s wife, Emily Blunt.
Attending Variety‘s Actors on Actors event in LA, the pair posed for pictures. Jackman posted a tame shot and a warm caption to Twitter. So Krasinski dug up the intimate version, writing, “Eeeeeeasy Hugh… not sure this is what @Variety meant with #ActorsonActors….Don’t make me think I can hurt you.”

And who other than Reynolds would then drop in, hoping to unite with Krasinski against the salacious Aussie? “This is a call to action. This man must be stopped.”

Well on Monday evening Variety asked Jackman for a response to Krasinski and Reynolds. So Jackman tossed out some jokey one-liners: “You gotta stay on your toes, John. That’s all I’m saying.”
Still he hopes it would be a fair one-on-one fight, if pass comes to shove: “I’m fine to fight John, but he arrived this morning at my front door with Ryan. I’m like, ‘Come on, guys. One at a time. Not together.’”
While Reynolds and Jackman have started video campaigns slagging off each other, there was a time, earlier this year, when the two got along just fine. Reynolds even visited Jackman’s social enterprise coffee shop Laughing Man Coffee in New York.
Except Reynolds’ wife Blake Lively thought it was was a bit suss. She wrote in the comments: “Is the extra distance between you supposed to convince me that you DONT love him more than me?? Nice try.”
