Rose Byrne Cements Comic Chops With New Role

Over the past two years Rose Byrne has really transitioned from the wide eyed ingenue we first met in Two Hands. She has cemented her reputation as a talented comic actress through strong performances in Bridesmaids and Get Him to the Greek, and today is was confirmed that she’ll re-engage her funny once more for a new romantic comedy, I Give It a Year.

Byrne will star with confirmed cast members Anna Faris, fellow Australian Simon Baker and English actor Rafe Spall (Anne Hathaway’s awkward pasty boyfriend in One Day) in the story of a mismatched newlywed couple (Byrne and Spall) struggling through the first year of marriage. The project is being helmed by writer-director Dan Mazer, whose past work includes Da Ali G Show, Borat and Bruno.

Looking forward to a “super tight” performance from Rose Byrne.
