Fellas rejoice: Rose Byrne is back on the market.
After nearly seven years together, Rose Byrne and Brendan Cowell, the odd couple of the Australian film and TV crowd, have confirmed that the relationship has officially wrapped up. According to Cowell’s spokesperson “the split was amicable [and] the pair remain good friends.” Cool. That means you don’t have to feel bad for totally cutting Brendan’s grass at the first opportunity. All’s fair in love and war…
The pair first hooked up in 2003 and ever since had people going “awww” at the strange combination of the classic beauty and the super hairy intellectual-meets-tradey guy. Byrne has been living in New York shooting her television show Damages for the last few years, while Cowell has been sharing time between Sydney and LA, so their transient lifestyles and time apart are probably to blame for the split.
Couples take note: Absence doesn’t really make the heart grow fonder – it just seriously hampers your sex life.
