Rihanna Tells Fans To Stop Asking About Her New Album As She’s “Trying To Save The World”

Rihanna has laid down the law and instructed everybody to stop bothering her about the release date of her upcoming new album, as she has other things on her mind right now.

The singer was streaming on Instagram Live over the weekend, and got annoyed when fans, as always, began to grill her on the status of her long-awaited new tunes.

Finally getting fed up, she said: “If one of y’all motherfuckers asks me about the album one more time when I’m trying to save the world, unlike y’all president …”

So that’s that. We really wouldn’t take this from anyone else but Rihanna. You can see the video below:

Earlier this year, the singer made a large donation to COVID-19 relief via her Clara Lionel Foundation, which helps some of the world’s most at-risk people.

In a statement, the foundation said:

“When we first began this year, never could we have imagined how COVID-19 would so dramatically alter our lives. It doesn’t matter who you are or where you’re from, this pandemic will affect us all. And for the world’s most vulnerable, the worst may be yet to come.”

More recently, Rihanna teamed up with Twitter’s Jack Dorsey to donate a further $4 million to domestic violence support services in LA, amid the ongoing lockdown.

Speaking of that new album, Rih has hinted that her new tracks are reggae-inspired but it’s “not gonna be typical of what you know as reggae.”

There is, of course, no release date yet on the horizon.
