The insanely popular spy-vs-spy thriller series Killing Eve has a Season 2 trailer, and if you think fans are frothing on it, you’d be absolutely right.
The S2 trailer picks up right where Season 1 left off, with Sandra Oh‘s Eve Polastri (uh, spoilers I guess) reporting over the phone that she thinks she’s finally killed her psycho quarry/romantic obsession, the Russian assassin Villanelle.
Obviously she hasn’t, and we’re treated to hints that their mutual fascination is far from over: the box of flowers spelling out “Eve”, Villanelle whispering “Sometimes, when you love someone, you do crazy things“, and a fab cover of “Addicted to Love“.
Also the extremely satisfying exchange between Villanelle and an off-screen man, during which he asks her what she’s looking for – a kitchen knife – and why – “To stab you with it 🙂“

If this one’s anything to go by, Season 2 is going to be packed with the same dark humour, genre-defying surprises and shit-hot acting (never forget that Sandra Oh scored a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild award for her portrayal of Eve) as we became accustomed to in the first season. Oh yeah, and we also have this, from a press release, to get us hyped for the April 7 release date:
